Announcements / QUBE! 8.0-0 RELEASED!
« Last post by shinya on March 15, 2023, 02:00:51 AM »
We are happy to announce that version 8.0-0 of Qube! has been released and is immediately available for download.

Important: new license keys will be required to run 8.0-x when upgrading from prior versions.
Please reach out to sales@pipelinefx.com for more info.

Important: WranglerView has been deprecated as of this release.

PipelineFX’s latest release of Qube!, version 8.0, includes:

Additional improvements to the Qube! UI
Updated "Shotgrid" (previously "Shotgun") integration
New OS Support including:
  • Rocky Linux
  • AlmaLinux
  • macOS latest
  • Windows 11
  • Windows Server 2022
Python 3.9 and 3.10 API support
Unreal Jobtype and Unreal Engine 5.0 Movie Render Queue integration
Avid MediaEncoder “server” jobtype for format conversions

Updated job submissions:
After Effects 2022 and Multi-Frame Rendering
Autodesk Maya 2023
Autodesk 3dsMax 2023
AutoDesk VREDPro 2023
Maxon Cinema 4D R25

The new Qube! UI allows for several ways to view host and job data. Users can create their own highly customizable, structured worker and job tree views, watch multiple job or worker lists simultaneously, or take a quick look at job status while using other applications by just hitting a hotkey. Searching for job or worker data just became easier through the use of new system wide variables alongside new text based advanced filtering. Just type in a few key words, and results are listed. And to find data quickly, the new standard expression log bookmarking feature allows for a fast return to important log data. Job and host management are faster, more scalable for large farms, and easier to quickly change views as needed. Customers can upgrade and continue seamlessly using Qube! across all portions of their pipeline. Customizable colors and themes make the interface more comfortable to use for any working style or preference, and there is no need to refresh the UI to acquire job status. Real time push updates alway display the latest information.

The Qube! UI also features the Qube! Previewer which supports sequence playback. While previewing, users can change frame rates, choose proxy, zoom, and pan. The new Previewer also supports all formats of OIIO with OCIO color management..

Installation and Configuration / Re: Artistview submission plugin defaults
« Last post by Kevin MacPhail on October 12, 2021, 07:41:00 PM »
Hi Michael,

Qube! 7.0 was the release that migrated the supervisor from a MySQL backend to a PostgreSQL backend.  An unfortunate side effect of this database switch was that ArtistView's MySQL dependent centralized preferences were broken.

ArtistView was discontinued when Qube! 7.5 was released, but our new QubeUI has a very robust centralised preferences system that I think you will like using.

If you have any questions please send an email to support@pipelinefx.com.

Thank you,

-Kevin

Installation and Configuration / Artistview submission plugin defaults
« Last post by SteadiShot on October 11, 2021, 05:14:02 PM »
I never really used Artistview (on 7.0)

What's the correct approach to creating defaults for a submission plugin.

Ex. Arnold Kick Batch render with all the the correct paths etc.

Is that something to be set up in the arnold_kick.py, qb.conf etc.?

Thanks!

Michael

SimpleCmds / Re: POSTGRESQL Data to CSV
« Last post by shinya on February 26, 2019, 01:01:38 AM »
Hi! Thanks for your inquiry.

Moving forward with Qube 7.0 , we strongly recommend against customers to be directly dealing with the DB.
Instead, we suggest that you use one of our APIs to pull in data that you're after.

Feel free to open a support ticket at our HelpDesk for further assistance.

Greetings, all!

We have discovered that the supervisor DB migration process from Qube 6.x to 7.x, from MySQL to PostgreSQL, can fail if the Qube 6.x supervisor has gone through upgrades.

We have patched the export_data_from_mysql.py script, and also added an additional required SQL script, fix_mysql_column_orders.sql, and made them available
for download on our "db_migration_tools" download page at http://repo.pipelinefx.com/downloads/pub/db_migration_tools/ .

If you're having difficulty importing the data into PostgreSQL, please (re-)download both of these files and start over with the updated instructions available at:
http://docs.pipelinefx.com/display/QUBE/Transferring+data+from+MySQL+to+PostgreSQL
