I often experience that the GUI 6.1 is very slow to update or just don

Are you running the 6.1-0 version of the gui?  There was a fix for a GUI hang that occurred when a refresh was performed with the 'host layout' tab visible.

Users are recommended to install the latest version of whatever release number they are running; 6.1 users should be running 6.1-2, 6.0 users should be running 6.0-4

Yeah me too suffering for it. also using ver 6.1, ....thanks for asking question...
