Title: Does Qube allow Maya to submit render layers?
Post by: christine2204 on October 01, 2007, 05:02:07 AM
Hi there,

Nice day to you.

We know that Maya can allow user to render different layer using different renderer for render layer and composite them together. So can we submit such job to Qube? If can, how to submit such job?

please give us some advise.

Many thanks,

Christine

Hi Christine,

Yes, the maya jobtype supports render layers.
You just need to make the layers, assign different parameters (such as renderer override) to them, save the file, and submit.

In the maya GUI qube submission dialog, you'll also have a chance to specify which layers you want to be rendered.  By default, it will render all renderable layers.

Hope that helps!
