Title: user groups vs worker groups
Post by: dgibbons on May 09, 2008, 04:17:52 PM
I saw the post below that mentioned that worker groups could be considered aliases.  Are they also tied to user groups? So only users in a group that matches the group on a system can submit to that system?

Worker groups are essentially aliases to lists of host. By configuring a set of hosts to belong to the same worker group, you can refer to them by group when submitting, rather than listing them individually.

They have no relation to user groups.
