Title: Failed Maya Render Layers
Post by: tuckerm on December 06, 2010, 08:30:36 PM
Is there a way within Qube 5.5.2 to view which Maya render layers have failed for a specific frame?

Some of the jobs we have been submitting recently have failed frames, but only 1 or 2 of the passes have failed, not all of the 5-6 layers per frame. This varies of course; some of the frames have complete failures for all of the passes. Rather than searching through folders or re-rendering all of the layers for each frame, it would be helpful to know which layers successfully completed. This would definitely expedite the process.

Thanks in advance!

Hi tukerm

Unfortunately, with the current maya jobtype, the granularity of job tasks are only at the frame-level, and not at the sub-frame (layers, cameras, passes), so if a single layer fails for a frame, the entire frame is determined to be failed.

I will file this as a feature request for a future version of the maya jobtype.
