MentalRay not rendering

Every time the user submits a MentalRay jobs via Maya 2012 it hangs up the workers and after a short while we get the following error:

Mel: mel: mel: initmps with licenseOption 2
Error: (mayatomr) : could not get  a license

We have a Maya floating license on the license server. We have 1 supervisor and 8 workers. We have the Maya 2012 installed on the servers without activating Maya on them.  I believe I was told that you do not need to activate Maya on the servers to render, that only the the Maya file need to be present. Is this correct?  We have no problems rendering with Maya, only MentalRay.

Hi Rafael,

you will still need to setup licensing on the render nodes to point to your floating license so that it can check out the MR batch licenses
