Honolulu, HI ? May 10, 2007 ? PipelineFX, makers of Qube!? software, the leading render farm management system for film production, game development, and digital media education around the world, today announced continued market momentum as five more universities from the U.S., France, the U.K. and Korea have selected Qube! for render farm management for their digital media and animation education programs.

The University of Rhode Island College of Arts and Sciences has adopted Qube! for render farm management in support of their digital media programs. ?We chose Qube! for four reasons: superior ability to juggle network traffic and allocate work, ease of deployment, compatibility with many software applications, and excellent support,? said Nate Haskins, Technology Assistant.

The Kansas City Art Institute, accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design, has also adopted Qube! for render farm management. The Kansas City Art Institute fine arts program in animation provides students with the latest technology as they learn the skills they will need to succeed in the field of animation and visual effects.

The animation department of GOBELINS, L?ECOLE DE L?IMAGE in Paris, France, a school of visual communication affiliated with the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry, chose Qube! to support their award-winning animation program. Gobelins offers training either via full-time courses, part-time apprenticeship schemes, or continuing education programs for adults in the fields of interactive multimedia, animation, graphic design, print media, photography and video. Qube! is being used to render student produced short films that serve as the openers at all the official screenings of the International Animated Film Festival in Annecy, France.

?At the moment, it's the final rush; during the past four months everything possible has been done to meet the delivery schedule for these shorts (plot, story board, decors, characters, animation, etc.) on time,? said Christian FOD?R?, IT Manager at GOBELINS. ?The only thing left to do is render the images, which make up the films and which for the first time were produced in Full HD. Needless to say, the 50 students concerned are counting on the render farm solution the school has set up so that the deadlines are met. Our render farm consists of Qube! software and SGI Altix XE servers.?

Leeds Metropolitan University in Leeds, U.K. has selected Qube! in support of their Innovation North Academy of Interactive Media program, which includes courses in multi-media, game design, and animation technology and effects.

Kyungbuk College in Seoul, Korea was looking for a render manager to support their multimedia and game development programs. They contacted CGWave, a PipelineFX reseller in Korea, after months of searching on their own for the best render farm management system.  Kyungbuk chose Qube! as the most efficient render farm management system, especially for the successful completion of their students? final sequence images.

?We are excited to be working with some of the leading animation schools,? said Troy Brooks, CEO of PipelineFX. ?The benefits the students receive from a cross-platform, shared render farm include more time creating content, more iterations of their work, and a real-world experience as an animator. More and more schools are providing studio-like infrastructure such as shared central storage and shared render servers. These investments can make a dramatic difference in the students overall experience and the quality of the programs output. We are proud that Qube! is really becoming the standard render manager for digital media education programs around the world.?
