watchdog configuration and scene file loading
« on: November 12, 2007, 05:00:24 PM »
Hello,

We are trying Qube and have a few questions about the configuration.

First, for the watchdog service, is it possible change the idle time? The documentation says it is set to 30 minutes but we would like to change that.

Second question, totally unrelated: when Qube renders two images from the same scene file (3dsmax or Maya) on the same worker, does it reload the scene and the texture files from the file server? If so, is it possible to have Qube load the file only once and use it for all subsequent images (to reduce rendering time due to network latency) ?

Thank you

Unfortunately, it is not configurable.

In the Max and Maya Job Types, each subjob will perform only a single scene load over its lifespan.
