Customising Qube GUI
« on: September 17, 2008, 02:11:52 PM »
I was hoping to slightly customise the Qube GUI, in particular the submission dialog for Maya jobs. What I was hoping to do was have a predefined path to our NAS submissions folder (\\vanguard\submissions) in the scene file, project directory and render directory fields.

Is this possible? And if so how can it be done? Is it particularly complicated?

Thanks in advance.

Simon

I also want to set the default priority to '1'. I found the line self.jobPriority.SetValue(9999) in submit.py near the code pertaining to Priority. I changed that value to 1 and after starting the GUI it made no difference. Is this sufficient? Does it need to be re-complied?

I believe I need to set the Maya defaults in submit_maya.py although I am still unclear how to give the scene, project dir, and render dir default values.

Have you tried entering these values in the submit dialog then pressing the "Set Defaults" button?

(Would have to be done for each client station, but usually gets the job done easily.)
