External Viewers

I'd like to know if anyone has had any success with external viewers such as Softimage flipbook or djv_view?

We would like to be able to view both .iff and .exr image sequences in an external viewer as Qube doesn't support this in the Output panel (unless someone tell's me different).

I know that Fcheck won't support the -s string, which is what I'm trying to pass to flipbook, but this isn't working either.

Did you not have any luck with the "External Viewers" section in the GUI preferences?  This is described in more detail in Section 4.10.4 in the User Manual (Help > User Manual).
