the prman "job check point" feature / to pause and resume a job
« on: December 13, 2012, 01:05:10 AM »
Hello!

would it be possible for Qube to take advantage of the prman "job check point" feature.  This allows a job to be paused and then pick up where it left off when restarted.

thanks!

We could look into this.  I've not played prman/alfred in depth since station wagons were cool, maybe longer, so I'd need you to fill me in on how prman implements check-pointing in the more modern versions.  (I'd read the prman docs, but my prman forum userid appears to be no longer extant, and the pixar registration page captcha is blank, so I can't re-register.)

Is it still just a matter of passing a "--recover [0|1]" flag, and is it yet supported in any other dspyDriver other than 'TIFF'?
