Using "Don't render final image" Max/Vray
« on: January 21, 2013, 06:22:53 PM »
Is there a way to tell Qube on submission that it doesn't need to look for a rendered frame when rendering is finished?

When using the "Don't render final image" option of Vray (For example to pre-render Global Illumination) the job will be marked as failed since there is no output frame except for the Irradiance Maps. Thus, the depentant Beauty-job will not start.

Hi mim,

I've gone ahead and added a "Disable Output Check" switch to the submission
dialog and modified the back-end code correspondingly to handle that.

Please find attached, files maxJob.pm and submit_3dsMax.py.
You need to replace the maxJob.pm file in the C:\Program Files\pfx\jobtypes\_3dsmax\ folder on your workers, and submit_3dsMax.py on your submission client machines' simplecmds folder (easiest would be to start the GUI and then "File > Update/Install SimpleCmds").

This feature will be a part of the regular 3dsmax jobtype moving forward.
Thanks!
