PipelineFX Announces Support for Autodesk 3ds Max 2008
« on: November 29, 2007, 06:34:37 PM »
PipelineFX, makers of Qube!? software, the leading render farm management software for film production, game development, and digital media education around the world, today announced that it has released support for Autodesk? 3ds Max? 2008.  The new Qube! 3ds Max jobtype will support Autodesk 3ds Max 2008 on both 32 and 64 bit platforms.  The jobtype also supports all 3ds Max-compliant renderers, such as Chaos Group?s V-Ray rendering engine.

Qube! ships with an array of standard jobtypes for 2D and 3D applications including Maya?, 3D Max?, XSI?, After Effects?, and many more.  Many jobtypes contain in-application submission dialogs and can be submitted directly from the Qube!'s GUI, command line, and popular scripting languages.  Qube!'s same jobtype framework can also be leveraged to create custom jobtypes or submit simple command line calls.   The recently introduced SimpleCmd framework mates the flexibility of the command line with the ease of use of a submission dialog GUI.

Autodesk 3ds Max 2008 is the latest version of Autodesk?s out-of-the-box solution for 3D modeling, animation and rendering.  Autodesk 3ds Max enables artists and designers to overcome challenges associated with large and complex 3D datasets.  The software has been used to create numerous notable projects, including visualizations for the EMI Records building in London, the Mass Effect game, and the Grindhouse film.
