OSX different qubeproxy and pwd
« on: February 20, 2008, 11:56:20 PM »
The client wants to use their particular choice replacement for qubeproxy user and the corresponding password.

How do I set/change this default user and password on the Mac OSX GUI client?

Their projects use AFP for mounting with those issues.  We want to use the customer choice of authentication.

They are reluctant to add PipelineFX defined user on their entire network.

Oh, they are using XP professional for the Supervisor.

You can use the Configuration GUI to set the Proxy User and Proxy Password to whatever you wish. Looking in the Worker Settings/Proxy Settings tab.

We do not recomment using AFP for OS X. It will not give you consistent naming for the mount points. Additionally, you should know that the Worker daemon doesn't run with a Finder session, so any AFP shares set up on a per user basis will not be mounted when the Worker executes a job.

More information can be found in the Knowledge Base:
