Platform-specific "output modules" for AfterEffects
« on: August 15, 2008, 08:05:58 PM »
By default, an AfterEffects renders with the default output module specified in the .aep file.  However this value can be overridden using the optional "Output Module" field in the Qube submission dialog.

Some of these Output Modules are platform-specific, so you will get an error like shown below if not using the correct ones for the platform like aerender.

Code: [Select]
ERROR: No output module template was found with the given name.
INFO: exitcode=1792

To address this, just make sure you are using the correct Output Modules for the platform performing the AfterEffects rendering.

  • For Windows, all of the DV choices are prefaced with "Microsoft"
  • For OSX, all of the DV choices are prefaced with "Quicktime"

For example if you are running on Windows, then you should use the "Microsoft DV PAL 48kHz" output module (if you want to override what the .aep has in its default settings).
