Joblist export
« on: November 07, 2008, 02:40:52 AM »
Is there was any way of exporting the current joblist/all jobtypes. Due to some renderman licensing issues, we have to restart the supervisor which seems to clear all pending jobs, and when there are 20 jobs queued, it's a real task to re-enter each shop manually. Does a function exist for this?
Otherwise is there an easier way to refresh Qubes capabilities to detect available licenses? It seems that since our licenses have been updated and the license server restart that Qube is not recognising workers that have available licenses (even after a individual machine restarts)
Sorry wasnt sure whether to post this in here or the GUI forum..

Restarting the Supervisor should have no effect on the pending jobs. What process are you going through to restart the Supervisor?

Qube supports a global resource called a "license resource" that can be configured to map into the number of licenses you want the Supervisor to keep track of. If you submit a job with a license resource reservation, the Supervisor will limit the number of subjobs it dispatches to the license resource count. This is useful if you have a pool of licenses that is shared between the farm Worker machines and other desktop machines.

However, if you don't share those licenses, you can accomplish this with a simple global resource.

Information on setting up these resources is available from the Administration manual.
