Qube! empowers churches to expand media production capabilities

Honolulu, HI ? July 21, 2009 ? PipelineFX, makers of Qube!? software, the leading render farm management software for film and post production, broadcast graphics, game development, and digital media education around the world, today announced that Family Community Church has adopted Qube! to manage their render pipeline.

San Jose/CA-based Family Community Church is a growing non-denominational Christian organization that extensively utilizes visual media to enhance its weekly church services.

Churches often face the difficult task of effectively communicating current event information to attendees. Family Community Church reasoned that a visually engaging ?sports talk show? style weekly update would be a great way to connect with its audience. The problem with this idea was of a technical nature. There was no way to process the quantity of composited, green screen/?virtual set? footage necessary to sustain weekly deadlines.
Due to the fact that these shots would be projected onto two large screens (nearly 20? diagonals) week after week, and in front of thousands of people, these visuals would be highly scrutinized. ?We knew that we would have to generate higher quality, procedural mattes for our composites, and that was when we decided on a Shake-Qube! workflow,? said John Stalker, Media Productions Director at Family Community Church. ?Qube! allows us to batch render our Shake scripts across our network and really maximize the processing potential of a limited budget. The great thing about Qube! is the reliability and scalability. Their system has an easy IT learning curve, and lots of documentation and online support. This equates to us spending less time tinkering with code and scripting, and more time working on our shots.  As our media production increases in quantity and variety we like the fact that we can add more licenses to the farm at any time.  We will be able to throw any variety of JobTypes at Qube!, and then monitor each process right inside of the same GUI. Most importantly, the media that we produce on a weekly basis is effective. Viewers are able to connect with our messages in an engaging way; unhindered by our techno-process.?

?Tight budgets and tight deadlines makes Qube! particularly appropriate for the worship vertical,? said Richard Lewis, VP of Sales for PipelineFX. ?Family Community Church is using best-in-class technology to communicate their message and we are proud to be supporting their graphics pipeline.?
