Maya 2012 + Vray 2.0 + Distributed Frame Rendering
« on: August 30, 2011, 04:29:28 PM »
We are currently able to submit a Maya / Vray job through Qube to a single render server.

Is it possible to do a distributed frame render (supported in Vray) through the Qube interface?

The short answer is that this is not available out of the box using V-ray.  It is supported with some other renders, but not with V-ray at this time.

The slightly longer answer is that there are people who distribute single frames with vray, but it requires custom scripting.  You might want to look into creating a custom job type (documented in the Developer Guide under the Help menu in Qube) or you can contact your reseller and ask about contracting PipelineFX to help you write the solution for your facility.
