Schedule locking not working correctly

Question for everyone

 i have certain machines locked during business hours and unlocked during the rest of the time.  So my issue is that after the computers I have unlock after say 1600 they do not pick up jobs that are assigned to the farm.

Am I doing something wrong in how jobs are submitted or how the locking is achieved.

When you unlock them, does the slot availability change from 0/0 to something else?

Is it possible that the jobs in the farm are using a jobtype that is not installed on the workers that are being unlocked?
