Rendering using trial version of 3d studio max
« on: January 05, 2014, 12:34:51 PM »
kindly we have a render farm consisting of 25 clients, 1 supervisor, 2 workstations.
3d studio max 2014 trial version has been installed on the 25 clients.
but full version of studio max 2014 on the workstations.
so I am going to create the project on the workstations, and the rendering will be on the 25 clients.
and I am using the qube as the software.
the point now: will the qube be able to render on the 25 clients even after the expiration of the trial version of studio max.
taking in consideration: that I will not open the studio max software on the 25 clients in order not to finish the trial period.
so will the rendering be accomplished after one month from installing the studio max? or will the render stop after one month even if I didn't use the MAX?

See http://docs.pipelinefx.com/x/uop on setting up 3dsMax for rendering.

Because Qube uses 3ds Max in slave mode, it does not consume a Max license while rendering.
