Fusion Jobtype, v4.0-6 released!
« on: June 09, 2006, 04:09:04 AM »
Aloha Folks,

We are pleased to announce an update release of our Fusion Jobtype.

In this new version, a built-in submission dialog has been added to the Fusion GUI.
Also, there was a significant change in the back-end code, which is now based on
a binary extension to the eyeonScript scripting language.  A few bug fixes also
went into this release.

Please see the release notes below for details.

The new version is available at:

Thank you!

@RELEASE: 4.0-6 (2006-06-07)

@IMPORTANT:

Please read the README.txt file for the latest important information
regarding the installation and use of this package.

@COMPATIBILITY:

This release should work with qube-core version 4.0-5 and above.

@SUMMARY:

For this new version of the Fusion jobtype, we have developed a new
binary DLL Qube API plugin for the eyeonScript scripting language.
Some of the limitations of the previous release has been overcome.

Also, a submission dialog within the Fusion GUI has been added.

@FEATURE: Submission Dialog

This release includes a native submission interface for the Fusion
GUI.

@FEATURE: Based on Binary DLL Qube API Plugin for eyeonScript

A new binary DLL plugin extension that provides API bindings for the
eyeonScript scripting language has been developed, and the jobtype
is now built around this extension.

@BUGFIX: Correct frame/subjob/job status reporting

The job now reports the correct frame, subjob, and job, status (a
known limitation of the previous release).

@BUGFIX: Multiple instances of Fusion on a single host

A workaround has been added to avoid (as much as possible) launching
multiple instances of Fusion on the same machine, when the host
starts more than one subjob at the same time.  Please see the README.txt
file for more information.
