5.3 Viewer - Framecycler
« on: May 08, 2008, 09:00:42 PM »
We're currently switching our renderfarm to version 5.3. The image viewer capability is very interesting for us as we use Framecycler to review our renders. I'm able to run Framecycler from the commandline, but I'm not able to transpose this to Qube!

Any specifics, references to set this up, both on XP & OS X?

Specifying the external viewer can be done through the Preferences menu item in Qube (File->Preferences... on Windows and Linux, <App>->Preferences... on OSX).  By default, Qube will choose the external viewer associated with that file type.

FrameCycler has a slightly more complex set of parameters than a standard app to get it viewing images.  This can be done through the Preferences menu item.  Open the Preferences and then set the following:
  • Image Viewer:  <path to the app>
        Example (OSX): "/Applications/FrameCyclerPro.app/Contents/MacOS/bin/FrameCycler"
  • Image Viewer Options: Q[ %(file)s %(start)s-%(end)s ]Q
