error trying to use fcheck as image viewer
« on: November 03, 2008, 08:07:35 PM »
I've set fcheck as my image viewer in my preferences, but when I right click on a completed frame in the agenda/frames tab and select 'View Images...' fcheck won't open the image. This error appears in the output:

INFO: Opening specified viewer with 'fcheck "/hosts/isilon/ifs/oddjob/3D/projects/homebase/images/SHOT01/Board2Matte_V3/Beauty/Board2Matte_V3_Beauty.13.sgi" &'
ERROR, Cannot open file stdin; Broken pipe
imgcvt.bin: IMF did not recognise image file stdin.
Board2Matte_V3_Beauty.13.sgi : (10) broken pipe

However if I run the command 'fcheck "/hosts/isilon/ifs/oddjob/3D/projects/homebase/images/SHOT01/Board2Matte_V3/Beauty/Board2Matte_V3_Beauty.13.sgi" &' in a shell it displays the image with no errors. This is my first day using Qube, so maybe I'm just doing something stupid!

Also is there any way to change the system used to display images in the output tab? The default viewer is not able to display sgi images.

We would like to assist with getting fcheck up and running for you with Qube.  What OS are you running on that is exhibiting this behavior so we ca reproduce it on our side?
