killed job but frames still "pending"
« on: May 07, 2010, 06:41:17 AM »
a co-worker did kill a job with the gui. The job state is "killed". Some frames are state "killed" too, but many are still "pending".

problem is we can't remove the job IMHO because there are still frames with pending. GUI tells once more "failed to..." (argh!) . also the cli tools don't work in this case.

How to fix it?

Qube 5.5-2, GUI 5.5.3, Centos 5.4 (supervisor, worker, gui), Win Vista x64 (gui)

You can remove jobs with pending items, but you can't remove other users' jobs unless you have the qube "Admin" privilege.

Either assign yourself Admin rights (have to do this from an account that already has Admin rights), or have the user remove their own job.

Ensure you do a QubeGui->View->Refresh (ClearCache) to ensure you're looking at an updated job list.  Jobs removed on other machines don't remove themselves from your job list in the GUI.

ok, this sounds reasonable. but why is no message like "Permission denied" or something popping up? Or even better would be that the menu entries would be greyed out in case of no rights.

Are all the "failed to <whatever>" messages "permission denied" errors?
